The 2011 International Conference in the "Challenges in Environmental Science & Engineering", CESE-2011,
will take place in Tainan City, Taiwan. This is the fourth international conference in the CESE series, an annual event initiated
by Dr. Jega V. Jegatheesan and Dr. Li Shu. Researchers, policy-makers, academics, students and the broader community active in contributing solutions
to the myriad of environmental questions posed by the challenges facing environmental sustainability, are welcome to meet in Taiwan in 2011 to share their knowledge and visions for the future.

Japanese, different aboriginal peoples, Dutch and Spanish, all left their footprints on the city.
