Dr. Dharma Dharmabalan is a General Manager with a Regional Water Corporation based in Bendigo. He is highly respected advisor in strategic planning, management and execution, leadership, project management and applied innovative technologies.
He has worked in the water industry in Australia since 1989, having educated in Sri Lanka, United States of America, The Netherlands and Australia with broad experience across a range of disciplines with specific leadership expertise in integrated business planning, capital planning and enterprise based program management.
Dr. Dharmabalan currently manages more than 50 staff comprising Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Consultants and Contractors to deliver $250 Million worth of capital works projects for Coliban Water. He is also experienced with differing modes of projects delivery such as Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, Project Alliance models, and contract management.
He is frequently targeted for his specialised knowledge in Drinking Water Quality by many organisations in Australia. He has travelled widely and aware of the current trends in Water Systems Management. He is considered as an advisory specialist with sound leadership experience in both government and private sector enterprises.
